Senior Veterinary Nurse - Tokoroa

Vetora Waikato is a Vet club and an incorporated society, meaning we reinvest all our profits back into our purpose of 'world-class animal health service for rural communities'. We were formed almost 80 years ago to ensure rural communities had access to veterinarians and animal health services, and we hold that promise through to today. We employ 140 staff across 8 clinics in the Waipa, Waikato, South Waikato and Taupo communities.

We are nearly finished building our new Tokoroa clinic, and are really excited to move in. This new building gives us more space to be able to better serve our clients and ensure that they are getting premier service in a beautiful, modern facility.

Along with our new clinic, this role is an exciting opportunity for a confident Vet Nurse with 3-4 years of experience, who is looking for that next career step. You would need to be comfortable working in a large busy team, with a strong focus on outstanding customer service, high standards and excellent performance of veterinary nursing.

Working as a Vet Nurse in our Tokoroa clinic, you will be responsible for providing high standards of care for your patients and clients. Your role will involve all aspects of vet nursing such as in-patient and out-patientcare, nurse consults and assisting vets in all areas including surgery. There will be general clinic administrative tasks and the expectation for you to participate in rostered Saturday mornings.

About you:

  • Experience in Anaesthesia monitoring and medicating of patients.
  • Strong admin skills and recording accuracy.
  • Strong knowledge of stock management.
  • Hands on approach to your work.
  • Ability to work both within a team and on your own.
  • Able to build strong lasting relationships with our clients and provide a consistently high level of customer service.
  • Relevant nursing qualification.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
